Our Mission

GETTING OUT BY GOING IN (GOGI) is dedicated to the release preparation of incarcerated men, women and children..

GETTING OUT BY GOING IN provides simple tools for making positive choices. Delivered in our books, workbooks, workshops and classroom settings, GOGI is focused on one thing: Positive Choices.

The GOGI program is designed to help participants “Get Out” of old behavior by “Going In” for self-improvement. Our coaches empower the individual with information, opportunity and support for lasting change.

Therapeutic Objective
To assist individuals in achieving behavior change by helping them identify, accept, and appreciate their innate ability to overcome difficulties, resolve problems, and make positive decisions.

Therapeutic Approach
To achieve its therapeutic objectives, GOGI utilizes RapidChange Therapy (RCT), a goal-oriented and brief therapeutic approach. RCT utilizes Cognitive Behavioral, Solutions-Focused, and Strategic Therapy techniques and strategies in immediately applicable ways to assist individuals in discovering their natural ability to articulate goals, overcome obstacles, develop solutions, and achieve personal success.

RapidChange Therapy is a empowering way of thinking about behavioral change.

Coach TaylorCoach Mara Leigh Taylor is a “Champion for Change,” excelling in the field of personal and professional excellence for more than a decade. Through her work with incarcerated individuals, she developed RapidChange Therapy, a proven methodology for rapid and lasting behavioral and cognitive modification.

Her unofficial title evolved from initial uncertainty on the part of inmates, and it eventually helped define her reputation.

When I first began working with inmates, they didn’t really know what to call me. I wasn’t trying to ‘correct’ or convert them. I was simply sharing RapidChange Therapy tools which result in lasting changes. I told them I was sort of a coach of the mind, so they began referring to me as ‘Coach’ Taylor.

By any name, the results of her efforts elicited hundreds of positive responses from both juvenile and adult inmates in the Federal and State penal system…
