GOGI Campus class Vice President, Felicia “Mimi” J., will be taking GOGI with her as she leaves the GOGI Campus felicia-vice-pres.JPGat Lynwood and completes her time at a California State Facility for women. While detained at the GOGI Campus in Lynwood, Felicia assisted with most of the leadership initiatives including outreach to women detained in other modules and design of the GOGI Campus Prayer. Mimi will be missed at GOGI Campus and her classmates look forward to her reports of her first Peer Coach GOGI Group to be formed when she is assigned to a permanent facility. Mimi has committed her life to the
rehabilitation of incarcerated women and will be attending school upon her release for the appropriate certification and licensing.

  1. The case of Felicia “Mimi” Jones I have followed through have been most interesting: in fact, it is amazing.

The unselfishness of these women (GETTING OUT BY GOING IN COACHES, @ Century Regional Detention Facility, Lynwood) as I have come to know them, the entire absence of profit motive, and their community spirit, is indeed inspiring to one who has labored long and wearily in this field. They believe in themselves, and still more in the Power, which pulls inmates back from the gates of death.

It is truly a blessing to know that their are people who is truly committed to the rehabilitation of these inmates who are truly looking for help to change their behavior and become positive individual in society.

Thanks to the whole GOGI team, and especially coach Taylor

  2. Keith,
Thank you. While putting together the most powerful force of volunteers dedicated to the empowerment of women like Mimi we have discovered that WE get the big payoff in our service to them.
Nothing is more satisfying than seeing all that is good and right in a human being begin to blossom.
We need staff. We need financial support. We are ready to expand to more and more inmates and facilities. We are just waiting for the funding so that we may help more and more individuals.
I am pleased to report that Mimi is putting together a GOGI group in prison. The wave of possibilities has just begun.
    Coach
