Recently elected Class President Laura W. , pictured in her youth heads the GOGI Campus- Lynwood project. GOGI Campus ~ Lynwood, is a proactive reentry project in conjunction with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department who is setting a new precedent for reversing recidivism through community collaboration efforts facilitated through Getting Out By Going In. As the inaugural class president, Laura willingly accepted all duties and responsibilities related to designing and developing curriculum and procedures for all future GOGI Campus locations. Additionally, when Laura is moved from GOGI Campus ~ Lynwood to complete her time with the California Department of Corrections, she has committed to leading GOGI correspondence courses for detained women.
