Actress, Writer and Director Troy Byer’s workshop based on her book EX- FREE, allows inmates to empower themselves in positive change. “Much of the crime committed by women is done in the company of men,” Byer states, “We must get these women to think powerfully for themselves.”

Byer’s recent completion of the book EX- FREE sparked the interest of Getting out by Going Going In Founder, Coach Taylor.

“I know how dramatic of an impact Troy has had on her audience and I wanted the women of the GOGI Campus to see an amazing success story for themselves,” said Coach Taylor. She continued: “Troy came from the ‘hood’ ” and made the proactive decision to have a powerful life for herself,” Coach Taylor explains. “Troy knows how to change their hearts.”
